What is your social issue?

My social issue is gay marriage.

What is it such a social issue? What do people disagree about in relation to this topic?

The reason why its a big issue is because some who open up and admit that there gay had lost their jobs, get arrested. They get punished because some don’t accept. What some people disagree about are the punishments they get for being who they are.

What is your proposed solution? Why do you think this is the best solution?

My solution for my topic is we should give gay marriage the same rights as a straight couple because its unfair and we need justices and liberty for all. I think this is the best solution because if we are not all equal then there is no peace between each other.

What are pros to your solution?

The pros in my solution are that in the past years there has been some changes for those who are different and it will continue through out the years an other one is those who finally open up can live in peace.

What are cons to your solution?

The cons in my solution are that they don’t get accepted as who they are and the hate/ equal hasn’t been stopped yet or started yet.

What are your thoughts on my topic?

This picture is a smile with a tear drop it represents me because I hide my emotions. I laugh, smile, keep a happy vibe so I could hide how I really feel just because I feel like life is a gift and I should enjoy every moment of it while i’m breathing. I do not hide who I really am because I want to keep it real between me and others. This is a really good symbol of what my paper is about. Why’s that? Well because coming out as who you really are isn’t so easy like for those who are gay, lesbian, bisexual… etc. They have to put a mask over there real identity just to not be picked on, but it slowly kills you. In this society there is a lot of kids who commit suicide because they don’t fit in and many more reasons, but the answer isn’t killing yourself. You got to stand high and be proud of who you are because your unique even if you don’t think so you are! It’s sad how others don’t accept each other for who they want to be theirs also  got to be those who like to criticize and make others feel bad about themselves. That’s why we wear masks over our image just to feel safe. How I came up with the symbol was hard but it was something that I do a lot and I know for a fact others do the same. Basically the whole purpose of everything I said was for others to read and understand that words can cut someones heart/soul because it hurts to hear those things.

The reason why I choose this symbol is because the meaning of the heart is loving and caring. I am a person who is very caring and will always be there for those who need me at the moment. Loving is something very strong in my book because when we love something we will do anything for it and that is who I am. I’ll do anything for what I love.

The reason why i choose these colors is because i’m a bright person and the reason  why i choose the heart as my symbol is because I’m a loving person with others.

In the website ISIDEWITH.com I picked the topic of same sex marriage. Through out the whole United States 60% said yes and about 28% said they don’t accept. The 60% of people who said yes, say that people have the right to love even if its the opposite sex. Also, they said love is love and should be expressed in different ways. Liberty and Justice for all. The 28% that had said no, say that the marriage of gay isn’t holy because its not a sacrament of the church and that gay marriage is immoral and wrong because it’s between men and women only. In Illinois there is more people who accept this law then those who don’t because love is hard to find and should be celebrated no matter what. Even in Chicago there is more who believe that everyone should fall in love with whoever they please. Some church’s are against gay beliefs because god did not create man to love man but that’s an opinion. In all races the yes category is more lager than the no the reason being is because people know that we have our own beliefs we can’t just change our minds,why brother and hurt something that we each believe in. Just support and love. The income they say the government should be taken out of the marriage and make it a religious decision. Overall gay marriage is a beautiful commitment that is made.
